Good Sunday: American Idol’s Phil Stacey (Coming to Havasu Too!!)

He was a finalist on “American Idol” in Season 6 (the one in which Arizona’s Jordin Sparks took the crown.) Phil Stacey went on to be respected as both a country and gospel recording artist (he has one album of each in the marketplace.) Phil goes one-on-one with host Roger Galloway to talk about his music, his life, and his first visit and performance in Lake Havasu City next Wednesday. Phil’s uncle, John Stacey is a long-time respected resident of the community. This is an entertaining interview in which Phil gives his personal opinions of “Idol” without Simon Cowell, the new lower age 15-year-old contestants, and whether the show can survive much longer. (He will be performing at Calvary Baptist Church Wednesday with his full band. Admission is only a $5 donation.)

Then, Hollywood reporter, Andre Fortin talks about—you guessed it -- Lindsay Lohan’s latest troubles (celebrity gossip and Lindsay are synonymous) and the Emmy nominations. Nashville’s Don Hinson clues us in on the possibility of Carrie Underwood getting married this weekend and Kellie Pickler’s contribution to U.S. troops. Then, New York’s Jack Russell talks about how tough it was on Al Pacino doing Shakespeare outdoors in Central Park in three-digit weather and  “Sister Act” is coming to Broadway. A great musical hour of entertainment takes place this weekend as host Roger Galloway goes one on one with the lead in the Las Vegas production of “The Jersey Boys.” Travis Cloer (as in “floor”) wows the crowds with his portrayal of Four Seasons frontman, Frankie Valli in the super successful production at the Palazzo. (He alternates the 8 shows with Rick Faugno.)  Travis, who also took over the role on Broadway, talks with Roger about the great 60’s tunes he sings, his own personal one man show, the camaraderie he shares with the other three Four Seasons actors, his own solo CD, “Setting the Standard” (available at www.traviscloer.com,) and how long The Jersey Boys success can continue (pretty amazing story there!!) Don’t miss a great inside look at the number one “don’t you dare miss it” Las Vegas show.

Then, Hollywood reporter, Andre Fortin dishes up news on Lindsay Lohan’s new clothing line (yes, she has one,) and the latest on American Idol (chewing-gum addicted Myley Cyrus as a mentor??) Sheriff Joe Arpaio is often the talk of both the good guys and the bad guys as he exercises his special brand of law enforcement. Now, he’s thinking a run for governor might be his next move.

Good Sunday Gets Tough - Joe Arpaio Tough! t all the scoops froe A
rClick Here To Listen paio Tough!

HHe’s called “the toughest sheriff in America.” He’s certainly not your run of the mill county sheriff with his “Tent City,” pink underwear for prisoners, and aggressive law enforcement. Many have frequently seen Sheriff Joe Arpaio on camera in the local and national media. He has numerous friends and plenty of enemies as well. Like him or not, he minces no words.

Now, listeners can hear a side of Joe few have as he goes one on one with host Roger Galloway about his childhood, his mother’s death at his birth, his love of sports as a player in high school, his favorite song (think Frank Sinatra and you’ll probably guess right,) his love/hate relationship with the media, the famous star he locked up when he was a cop in Las Vegas, his 53-year marriage, his possible run for governor, and, Roger may truly have uncovered the sheriff’s own personal “Rosebud” (that word was uttered in “Citizen Kane” and a childhood sled was the key to Kane’s life.) What was it for the sheriff? Tune in and see if you agree. Joe Arpaio, an inside personal look this weekend.

Then, Hollywood reporter, Andre Fortin talks about the shaky appearance of Ryan Seacrest on “American Idol” Tuesday night. (The Internet is alive with gossip on this) and is the latest movie about Superheroes too dirty for kids to see? New York’s Jack Russell zeroes in on “Harry Potter’s” Daniel Radcliffe heading for Broadway to star in a re-do of “How to Succeed” and Nashville’s Don Hinson reveals that a movie will be made next year about the “King of the Cowboys,” Roy Rogers.  A country star will play the title role.

An ordinary man with extraordinary talents -- Paul Potts won the first-ever season of Britain’s Got Talent, allowing him to quit his job as manager of a small mobile phone store in England and going on to sell millions of records around the world.

Britain’s Susan Boyle became an overnight sensation when she unleashed her incredible voice before millions on “Britain’s Got Talent” and then hit You Tube the next day, scoring millions of new fans in the U.S. She’s now made millions with her best selling album and tour. But, before her was her male counterpart ---another chubby, unassuming, British “nobody,” -- Paul Potts. He too performed on “Britain’s Got Talent,” but unlike Susan Boyle, he won the top prize on the show. This weekend, Paul goes one on one with host Roger Galloway as they zero in on how he’s dealt with fame and fortune. If you love a poignant story about someone who deserved the big break and got it, this is it!

Then, Hollywood reporter, Andre Fortin talks about Siobhan getting kicked off of “American Idol” and Lindsay Lohan’s latest bizarre publicity with a gun to her face. (What’s up with that?) New York’s Jack Russell lets us know a little about Conan O’Brien’s Sunday night appearance on “60 Minutes,” and Don Hinson and Roger pick their top 10 female country artists of all time. Who’s number one –Loretta, Tammy, Dolly, Reba, or Carrie? Maybe none of them.

And, they're off!! Horse racing at Turf Paradise is now in its 56th year.

The exclusive inside story is told!

Then, Hollywood reporter, Andre Fortin talks about the “American Idol” final four and the always-in-the-news Lindsay Lohan has just gotten the lead in a movie biography of a well known woman who starred in one of the most famous X-rated films of all time.  New York’s Jack Russell keys us in on the newly announced Broadway Tony nominations and there are lots of movie and TV stars in the mix.
